MBC series "Queen of Reversals" [MBC]

SBS series “Athena” led the Mondays and Tuesdays primetime TV ratings chart for the fifth week in a row, according to data by Total National Media Research (TNmS) but MBC drama “Queen of Reversals” emerged atop the ratings chart by AGB Nielsen Media Research (AGB).

Statistics from TNmS showed that SBS’ spy thriller “Athena” posted an average viewership rating of 13.1 percent, the figure declining by about two percent from last week, but remained the top early-week show.

"Athena," a spin-off to KBS’ blockbuster hit series “IRIS,” which star actors Jung Woo-sung, Soo Ae, Cha Seung-won and E Ji-ah, deals with world of spies amid competition among governments to secure nuclear technology.

This week’s episode featured love scenes between star-crossed lovers Lee Jung-woo (played by Jung) and Hye-in (Soo Ae) and calculated love affairs between Son Hyuk (Cha) and Jae-hee (E).

KBS series “Dream High” and MBC's “Queen” followed successively on TNmS' chart with average viewership ratings of 12.5 percent and 12.45 percent, respectively.

"Dream High," starring Kim Soo-hyun, Bae Suzy, Ok Taecyeon, Ham Eun-jung, Jang Woo-young and IU is about six teenagers working to achieve their dream at a performing arts school that produces top singers and entertainers in the country.

“Queen,” starring Kim Nam-joo, Jung Joon-ho and Park Si-hoo, tells the story of the joys and struggles in the workplace through a woman named Hwang Tae-hee, her relationship with her former husband and her new love-interest.

On AGB's poll however, "Queen" took first place with an average rating of 16.5 percent, coming out the new winner on the chart for the first time.

Trailing behind was "Athena" with a mean mark of 14.5 percent, the figure also a two-percent drop from the previous two episodes, and “Dream” took No. 3 with a score of 13.45 percent on the same poll.
