CNBLUE flying high on music charts of Taiwan, Japan

Korean rock band CNBLUE¡¯s new album and DVD have appeared on the top slots of music charts of Taiwan and Japan, according to the results posted at respective websites.
In Taiwan, CNBLUE¡¯s first regular album ¡°FIRST STEP¡± which went on sale on April 20 in the country placed on the top of the J-pop category of the weekly G-MUSIC chart for the week of April 15 to 21.
In Japan, the group's DVD ¡¸CNBLUE Zepp Tour 2011~ RE-MAINTENANCE~ ¡¹ landed at No. 2 on the country¡¯s prestigious Oricon daily DVD chart in a day of its release on April 25.
Some 1,500 locals fans showed up for the premiere event of the DVD's release, which took place at TOHO CINEMAS in Tokyo, the boys' agency FNC said through a press release.
The statement went onto say that CNBLUE's members, who participated in the premiere live through video, apologized for not being able to attend the event in person but elicited cheers by revealing their plans to hold a special event for their fan club in Japan on June 3.
CNBLUE -- composed of members Jung Yong-hwa, Kang Min-hyuk, Lee Jong-hyun and Lee Jung-shin -- made their debut in Korea early last with their hit single "Alone" and mini-album "Bluetory" after releasing two singles in Japan.
They have made a successful return to the local music scene with their first full-length album "FIRST STEP," which, sold over 150,000 copies in Korea alone and saw all 30,000 copies of its limited edition sold out in just a day of going on sale.
Meanwhile, the group is on its way to start promoting ¡°LOVE GIRL,¡± the title track to their thank-you album "FIRST STEP +1(PLUS ONE)¡± which will go on sale starting today in Korea.
