Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am met with girl group 2NE1 during his current visit to Korea.

A message posted on his Twitter account (http://twitter.com/iamwill) late on Monday said, "Me with 2ne1 in korea :)" while a photograph showed the girls and him in a recording studio.

A statement by 2NE1's agency YG Entertainment said Tuesday that will.i.am flew into Korea yesterday and spoke with YG's chief Yang Hyuk-suk and main producer Teddy for about four hours on the girls' debut in the U.S.

The top American producer, in Korea for three days, is also set to meet with personnel at CJ Entertainment, another posting on his Twitter account showed.

Will.i.am has been working with 2NE1 since last year, producing songs for the girls' U.S. debut album. They have yet to set a date for the move but they have finished recording ten songs with will.i.am.

Composed of members CL, Bom, Sandra and Minzy, 2NE1 has been one of the most successful groups in the country since their debut in May 2009.

They are set to release a new mini-album in Korea on May 12 which they will promote until August when they hold their first-ever concert.
