2NE1's new song "Lonely" [YG Entertainment's official blog website]

Korean girl group 2NE1 has conquered music charts in Korea with their latest song "Lonely," according to a press release from the agency YG Entertainment on Monday.

YG announced that "Lonely" took over the No. 1 spot on real-time, daily and weekly music charts upon its release on May 12, while ranking first place on music video charts for multimedia video player GomPlayer and various online music websites.

Just last week, "Lonely" triumphed on all online real-time music charts while its music video became the most popular video on YouTube in 10 different countries as well as receiving over 4.1 million views as of May 16.

Meanwhile, the girls are set to release their upcoming mini-album on June 23 featuring a total of six tracks including "Lonely," which they will promote by revealing a new track every three weeks.

They started by unveiling member Park Bom's solo tune "DON'T CRY" which has taken over various music charts for several weeks since its release on April 21, while they will give a live performance of the song on YG's Internet broadcaster "YG ON AIR" on May 20.

Composed of other members CL, Sandra and Minzy, 2NE1 has been one of the most successful groups in the country since their debut in May 2009.
