Korean boy band BEAST held a special fan meeting in Japan last week, according to their agency Cube Entertainment.

"In Tokyo and Osaka on May 13 and 15, respectively, the boys held a special high-five event with some 8,000 fans of theirs who purchased their Japanese debut single 'SHOCK,'" a PR official from Cube told 10Asia over the phone on Monday.

The official went onto explain that the boys announced the release of their second Japanese single "BAD GIRL" which is set to go on sale in the country around mid-June.

BEAST was originally set to promote the album in Japan in March but postponed their activities in the country due to the earthquake and tsunami which hit the country on March 11.

Nonetheless, the boys have seen a significant start to their official debut in the country, placing in second on Japan's Oricon weekly chart with "SHOCK" in mid-March as well as having the ringtone version of the song top the daily singles chart of Japan's biggest mobile website RecoChoku on the day of its release on March 16.

Meanwhile, BEAST is currently preparing to make their comeback to the local music scene with their first full-length album "Fact and Fiction" on May 17.

Ahead of their return, BEAST revealed the digital single "On Rainy Days" on various online music websites last week as well as releasing the teaser video to their title track "Fiction."

They then unveiled the cover for their first regular album today, showing the members dressed in accordance with the concept for the new release.

Composed of members Du-jun, Hyun-seung, Yo-seop, Dong-woon, Gi-kwang and Jun-hyung, BEAST made their debut in October 2009 with their first mini-album “"BEAST IS THE B2ST" and has since produced hit songs such as “Bad Girl,” “Shock" and “Soom.”

The boys are scheduled to visit several countries in Asia for their first fan tour in the region which will kick off in July.
