2NE1 member Sandara Park gave a special lecture at one of Korea¡¯s most prestigious universities, informed her agency YG Entertainment on Tuesday.
According to a press release by YG, Sandara gave a speech on her ideas on social network services (SNS) before some 500 students at Yonsei University in Seoul yesterday.
Sandara, known as an avid user of me2day, which is the Korean equivalent of Twitter, has uploaded one posting a day on her account to update fans on her daily life such as through photographs from televised music shows or revealing a photo of YG Entertainment founder and CEO Yang Hyun-suk's daughter.
As a result, her account, which was launched last June, now boasts over 350,000 followers.
¡°The three most important qualities when communicating with fans, is to be fun, sincere and natural,¡± Sandara pointed out, stressing that SNS is meaningful only when one uses it as a medium to truly communicate with people rather than taking it simply as a means of advertisement.
One of the professors in the field of business management said the class was worth listening to as he has always considered Sandara Park one of the most successful cases of taking advantage of SNS.
Sandara's lecture was arranged as part of an academic and business exchange between YG Entertainment and Yonsei University.
Sandara, who joined YG Entertainment in 2007, made her official debut through girl group 2NE1 who kicked off their activities with their first digital single ¡°Fire¡± in May 2009.
