Female trio Orange Caramel, sub-unit of girl group After School, has set the date for their comeback to the local music scene.

According to press release from their agency Pledis Entertainment on Friday, Orange Caramel's new album will hit stores on October 13 under the theme of Shanghai.

An official with Pledis told 10Asia over the phone that the reason for selecting Shanghai as Orange Caramel's "One of Asia" project was because their upcoming song represents the city.

"The girls are currently putting the final touches to their album and are busy working on the choreography," she explained.

"However, Orange Caramel won't promote the new album for a long period because they will have to focus on the release of After School's second Japanese single in November."

Orange Caramel made their debut with "The First Mini Album" in June and followed it up with their hit song "A~ing♡” in mid-November which rose to the top slots of major music charts.

The girls then released the first album "Bangkok City," under the global project "One of Asia," and have expanded their activities into China.
