‘Phoenix’ series|Origin of all things, The bird that embraces the spirit of the heart!

조심스레 바위에 쪼그리고 앉아 막 얼굴을 씻은 듯 만개한 모란(牡丹) 한 송이 우주(宇宙)를 품었네.

A peony flower in fool blossom, as if it just washed its face carefully crouching on a stone, has embraced all of space.

연록(軟綠) 잎 흐르는 영롱한 선율, 평화로운 생명의 노래여. 부드러운 음률(音律) 울려 퍼지면 은하수(銀河水) 긴긴 행렬 비취빛 맴도네.

A brilliant melody where a pistachio colored leaf flows, and a song of peaceful life. When the soft melody resonates, the long line of jade lights of the galaxy lingers.

호숫가 명랑한 풀벌레 가락이여. 허망(虛妄)을 슬퍼 말라. 앙증맞은 입으로 너와 합창하면 그것이 곧 삼라만상(森羅萬象) 조화. “여신의 꽃샘은 우주 만물의 근원”인 것을. <노자>

Oh, merry bug of the grass, do not be saddened by vanity. Singing in chorus with your little mouth, that is the harmony of all nature. Remember that "the spring frost of the goddess is the source of all things in the universe." 〈Lao-tzu〉

안 보인다, 안 들린다하여 어찌 없다할 것인가. 아, 꽃과 가장 잘 어울리는 그대였구나. 나도 모르게 그리는 꽃봉오리 봉황(鳳凰)이리니. 가벼웁고 자꾸만 좋아져 밝아지는 그림이여 따스하여라!

There is nothing you can do because you cannot see or hear. Oh, you look the best together with flowers. I find myself drawing a phoenix on a flower bud. This painting that is light and bright, is ever-so warm!

삶은 고통인가. “번뇌가 없으면 세상도 없다. 번뇌를 비틀면 빛이 된다. 빛은 텅 빈 곳을 날아다니는 새다." <한승원 지음, 초의(草衣)>

Is life pain? "If there is no anguish, there is no world. When anguish is twisted, it becomes light. Light is a bird that flies through a vacant space." 〈Han Seungwon's 'Choi'〉

그대를 초심으로 그렸을 선조의 발자취. 본래의 정신, 그대로의 마음이 만들어 준 오방(五方)의 생생한 숨결이여, 신화여. 오오, 형형한(炯炯) 눈빛으로 내게 전율을 일으키는 저 차(茶)나무 잎 속 오롯이 빛나는 눈동자.

Traces of our forefathers who drew you with a young spirit. Oh, vivid breath of the east, west, north, south and center made by the initial spirit and heart, oh, you are a legend. The bright eyes that shine from that tea tree sends a chill through my body.

탄성(嘆聲)이여!
