Korean idol Yoon Du-jun of boy band BEAST has been asked to play a major role in the sequel of hit TV series "Full House."

An official with his agency Cube Entertainment told 10Asia over the phone on Monday that Yoon was offered one of the leading roles to the show although she cannot not reveal further details.

The official then explained, "We have yet to make a decision because shooting for the show may overlap with BEAST's upcoming schedule."

Actress Min Hyo-lyn is also said to have been asked to appear in the show and play the main female character.

Originally, actress Hwang Jung-eum and actor No Min-woo were set to play the main characters but held off on their decision due to differences in opinion with the show's producer.

The original series, starring singer-actor Jung Ji-hoon and actress Song Hye-kyo, was based on 16-volume comic series by Won Soo-yeon which was popular among Korean readers from when it started to be published in 1994.

Yoon made his debut as the leader of the six-member boy band BEAST in 2009. He expanded his career into acting with roles in MBC's "More Charming by the Day" (2010) and recently in MBC's sitcom "All My Love" for which he won the best newcomer award at MBC Entertainment Awards last year.
