Songstress Lee Hae-ri of duo Davichi has been cast as the female lead in an upcoming musical, according to her agency Core Contents Media on Thursday.
Core Contents said in a press release that Lee will take on the role of Constanze in the musical "Mozart L'Opera Rock" set to premiere in the country in February of next year.
"Mozart L'Opera Rock," produced by Dove Attia and Albert Cohen, is a musical based on the pop-rock compositions and music by famed composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The original score made its premiere in Paris in September 2009 and toured several countries in Europe such as Belgium and Switzerland.
Lee made her debut in Davichi, composed of member Kang Min-kyung, in 2008 with their first album "Amaranth."
The girls have recently made their comeback with their third mini-album "Love Delight" and have been promoting title tracks "Don't Say Goodbye" and "Love, My Love."
