K-pop female idols Girls' Generation will begin promoting a second song from their third full-length album this week, according to their agency SM Entertainment.

SM said in a press release on Tuesday that Girls' Generation will promote the follow-up track "Mr. Taxi" with their first performance on KBS' music program "Music Bank" on December 2.

The girls will release a new version to their third full-length album on December 7 which will feature a new album cover and pictures of the members and continue their activities for the record till the end of December.

"Mr. Taxi" is the group's first original single in Japan and it made its debut at No. 2 on the prestigious Oricon chart upon going on sale in April. It is also included in their first full-length Japanese album "GIRLS' GENERATION" which has sold over 700,000 copies.

Girls' Generation made a successful comeback to the local music scene with their third full-length album and title track "The Boys" in mid-October.

The song has topped a number of online music charts and won them several wins on music shows while the music video for it has reached over 20.7 million views.

The girls are currently in Singapore for the 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) where they will perform at the Singapore Indoor Stadium along with other artists such as 2NE1, YB, Super Junior, miss A, BEAST, 4minute member Hyun-a and Dynamic Duo.
