Veteran actress Yoon Jeong-hee has added another award to her continuously growing list of recognitions for film "Poetry."
The official website for the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards (LACFA) showed on Monday that Yoon won best actress for her role in the pic where she plays a grandmother, in the early stages of Alzheimer's, struggling to write her own poems.
Yoon had been up against big Hollywood names such as Kirsten Dunst who instead took the prize for runner up as a woman finding inner strength when a planet bears down on a collision course with Earth in "Melancholia."
This makes it Yoon's third time to take the nod for best actress, following her wins at Switzerland's Fribourg International Film Festival and the Philippines' Cinemanila International Film Festival.
Yoon also received the Chevalier dans l'ordre des Arts et Lettres by the French government for the movie.
"Poetry" itself, by critically acclaimed director Lee Chang-dong, took the trophy for best screenplay at Cannes Film Festival last year.
