백자의 맑고 투명한 새하얀 이미지처럼 그의 회화세계는 티 없이 순결한 향기가 함축된 화면으로 수놓아지고 있으며 전통양식을 지양한 현대 감각이 물씬 나는 표현주의 예술로 승화 시키고 있는 것이 신선감을 더해 주고 있다.

Like a clear, transparent and white image of white porcelain, his world of art is embroidered with pictures implying pure and innocent scent and freshness is added to sublimate it into expressionism art with modern sense free from conventional style.



김만식이 추구하는 일련의 최근작들에서 작가만의 독특한 오리지날리티가 감지되는 것은 매우 고무적으로 받아들여지며 한국미술의 창조적인 지평을 위해서도 긍정적인 평가가 주어지고 있다.
