TVXQ [SM Entertainment]

Korean singing duo TVXQ will hold several extra shows for their upcoming nine-city Japan concert tour this month, according to a press release from their agency SM Entertainment.

SM announced on Friday that TVXQ, originally set for 20 shows in nine cities, will hold a total of four extra performances in Tokyo and Osaka for their "TVXQ LIVE TOUR 2012~ TONE~" which will kick off on January 18 at the Yokohama Arena.

The duo, slated to perform in Nagaya, Hokkaido, Niigata, Sapporo, Hiroshima, Fukui, Osaka and Saitama till March, will grace the stage at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo for two days starting April 14 and wrap things up at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka on April 21 and 22.

The tour will promote the boys' album titled "TONE" released in the country on September 28 as well as making it the first time in four years that the duo will tour the country.

The album will also be their first Japanese release as a duo since parting with former members Jaejoong, Yuchun and Junsu who halted their activities as TVXQ claiming the unfairness of their 13-year exclusive contract with SM Entertainment.

TVXQ made their return to the local music scene with their album "Why (Keep Your Head Down)," released earlier last year, which scored the top prize on various televised music programs and took over a number of online music charts.

They also released the repackaged and Japanese version of album "Why (Keep Your Head Down)" which has fared well both in Japan and Korea.
