Girls' Generation [SM Entertainment]

Female idols Girls' Generation will take their ongoing tour to Hong Kong next week and to Thailand next month.

An official with SM Entertainment told 10Asia on Tuesday that the Girls' Generation's tour will take place at the AsiaWorld-Arena in Hong Kong on January 15 and at the Impact Arena in Bangkok on February 12.

The girls' second concert kicked off at the Olympic Park Stadium in Seoul in July last year and had held successful shows in Taiwan and Singapore.

The nine-member girl group held their first Asia tour "Into the New World" in December 2009 where they held shows in Shanghai and Taipei.

They have since toured various countries in Asia, the United States and Europe with their fellow SM labelmates.

Girls’ Generation, composed of members Taeyeon, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Sunny, Jessica, Seohyun, Yoona, Yuri and Sooyoung, is currently one of the most well-known female idol groups in Asia which made their debut in Korea in 2007.

The girls released two full-length albums "Girls' Generation" and "Oh!" in 2007 and 2010, respectively, and since pursued a singing career in Japan, becoming the first Korean girl group to place No. 1 on the Oricon chart and winning gold disc status several times.
