After School [Pledis] |
Girl group After School will tour Japan in April, holding their first concert tour in the country.
A press release by their agency Pledis said on Friday that the "AFTERSCHOOL First Japan Tour 2012 -PLAYGIRLZ-" tour will kick off at Tokyo's Zepp Tokyo on April 27, then go to Aichi's Zepp Nagoya the next day, and wrap up at Osaka's Namba Hatch on April 30.
"I'm happy we'll be getting to go on a tour under our name... It's what I've been dreaming of since my debut," member UIE was quoted as saying in the press release.
After School has been a popular K-pop act in Korea since their debut in the country in 2009.
They placed within the top ten of Japan's Oricon weekly chart with their first Japanese single "Bang!" in August and then promoted their second single "Diva" in the country.
They will release their third Japanese single "Rambling Girls" on January 25 and are set to release their first studio album in March.
