2AM Seulong, Son Eun-seo chosen as PR ambassadors for Jeonju film fest

Korean idol and actor Seulong of ballad group 2AM and actress Son Eun-seo have been chosen as promotional ambassadors for the 13th Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF).

The two celebrities will fulfill their duties as promotional ambassadors during the annual event from April 26 to May 4, starting with the first press conference which wil be held on April 3, the organizing committee said through a press release on Tuesday.

At the press conference, the invited films to JIFF will be announced and the two actors are told to be joining different events prepared by the committee.

"I'm bursting with high expectations in being the PR ambassador for JIFF following in the footsteps of Lee Je-hoon, Song Joong-gi and Jung Il-woo. I will do my best in bringing more awareness for the fest," Seulong said in the statement.

Son expressed her excitement and added, "I hope to create memorable moments with the audience and I'm going to watch as many movies as possible during the festival."

JIFF is one of Korea's main film festivals which showcase alternative and independent films in the city of Jeonju. The festival will also feature short films and various cultural events.

Seulong made his debut as one of the members in his four-member ballad group 2AM in 2008. They are well known for their many hit songs including "This Song," "Can't Let You Go Even If I Die" and "I Did Wrong."

Outside of his group activities, he has appeared in the MBC's hit series "Personal Taste" last year and has starred in the omnibus film "Acoustic" alongside CNBLUE members Min-hyuk and Jong-hyun.

Making her debut in cable series "Don't Ask Me About the Past" in 2008, Son has starred in a number of other TV series such as "The Queen Returns," "Flames of Desire," "Spy Myung Wol" and films "Humming" and "A Blood Pledge."

She is currently starring in SBS' daily series "My Daughter the Flower" and will soon appear in KBS' "Love Rain" with Jang Keun-suk and Girls' Generation's Yoona.
