A Korean-Japanese TV series starring girl group KARA's Kang Jiyoung and boy band Choshinsung member Park Geonil will air in Japan next month.
Japanese media outlets including Sankei Sports reported on Tuesday that Kang and Park's TV series titled "Rainbow Rose" will hit airwaves in Japan through Japanese network TV Tokyo starting April 13.
"Rose," directed by Kim Soo-ryong of SBS' TV series "Lie to Me," is a melodrama of college students that live together in a boarding house. Japanese actresses Mizusawa Elena and Fujii Mina also joined the cast for the drama.
Kang is the youngest member of KARA and the group made their debut in 2007, growing into one of the most successful K-pop acts in Japan. The girls are currently on their Asia tour "KARASIA" and will hold their Japan leg next month.
Park is a member of Choshinsung, a six-member group who debuted in the same year as KARA. They have led a successful career particularly in Japan with all ten of their single albums having placed within the top six slots of the country's reknown Oricon chart.
