TVXQ, Rainbow enter on Oricon's singles chart

Top singing duo TVXQ and girl group Rainbow have placed within the top ten on Japan's Oricon chart.

Data on Oricon's official website revealed today that TVXQ came in first place on its daily singles chart with their new Japanese single "STILL," produced in three editions, after grossing 84,029 copies of sales since its release in the country on Wednesday.

TVXQ's new single includes the title track of the same name and another song titled "One More Thing."

TVXQ is currently on their nationwide tour in Japan to promote their last Japanese album "TONE" which was released in the country in September of last year.

The boys also claimed platinum status with "TONE" put the group to be the first international male artists in over ten years on the chart.

TVXQ, composed of members Max Changmin and U-Know Yunho, have topped Oricon's charts and achieved platinum status with "Why? (Keep Your Head Down)" which went on sale in the country in January of last year.

Meanwhile, Rainbow scored the No. 6 spot on the same chart with their third Japanese single "Gonna Gonna Go!" that was dropped in the same day as TVXQ's "STILL."

"Gonna Gonna Go!" is the group's first original Japanese song and their upcoming album will be composed of other songs "Hello" and a bonus track of Rainbow's sub-unit Rainbow Pixie's tune "Hoi Hoi."

Rainbow, who made their debut in Korea in 2009, found success in the Japanese music scene with their debut single "A" which placed atop Japan's prestigious Oricon chart in September of last year.

The girls followed it up with their second Japanese single "MACH" in December 2011 and held their nationwide tour in the country.
