Korean songstress BoA, YG Entertainment's C.E.O Yang Hyun-suk and JYP Entertainment's founder and producer Park Jin-young have signed on for another season of SBS' talent show, according to the broadcaster's officials on Friday.

BoA, Yang and Park will continue to stay as the judges for the second season of "KPOP STAR" with its first episode set to air in November, SBS announced in a press release.

"We will be accepting applications for the preliminaries in May. Also, the three judges are excited about the new season and we will come up with new ideas to find the next new talent," an official of the show was quoted as saying.

"KPOP STAR" is a popular survival program where the applicants, who are musically talented, perform in front of the panel of judges every week.

The show receives applications from all over the world, aiming to spot the next new star on various aspects such as singing, dancing and playing instruments.

The winner of the show will receive prize money and secure a contract with one of the three talent firms that each judge represent -- SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment and JYP Entertainment -- through which he or she will debut.

So far, the first season, which airs every Sunday night, has narrowed its candidates down to the top six contestants.
