Cast of new medical series "Golden Time" [MBC]

Korean actress Hwang Jung-eum and actor Lee Sun-kyun have got the taste of their upcoming TV series on MBC.

On Tuesday, the broadcaster revealed several pictures of Hwang, Lee and the rest of the cast at the reading held at Ilsan in the Gyeonggi Province for the new Monday and Tuesday series "Golden Time" set to air in early July.

"Golden Time," helmed by Kwon Seok-jang, is a medical drama that pivots around doctors performing major surgeries in a general hospital. Lee will play a surgeon with an outspoken personality and Hwang is set to play the heiress of the hospital.

"After attending the first reading session, I feel confident that our series will attract a big crowd to the screen this summer. I wish the best for the whole cast and the series' result," producer Kwon was quoted as saying.

Scheduled to air after current series "Light and Shadow" ends its run, "Golden Time" be shot mainly in Busan.
