Lim Jeong-hee [Big Hit Entertainment]

Korean songstress Lim Jeong-hee will resume her singing career under the management of Big Hit Entertainment.

Lim has signed an exclusive contract with Big Hit Entertainment, which is being run by renowned producer Bang Si-hyuk, the firm said in a press release on Thursday.

"Lim had known Bang way before making her official debut and she signed the deal with Big Hit in late June," a Big Hit official was quoted as saying.

Lim's musical work with Bang climbs back to 2005, when she released her landmark debut album, "Music is My Life."

Featuring the title track of the same name, the release had powered her to expand her career into the U.S. market in 2007 through collaborations with top American artists, Outkast and Big Boi.

She has produced other hit songs such as "Can't Be True" and "Golden Lady," and took part in a number of soundtracks for TV dramas.
