K-pop idol groups 2PM, T-ara and Girls' Generation have been certified the gold status in Japan after moving over 100,000 copies of their latest albums.

According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan's (RIAJ) June report, 2PM's fourth Japanese single "Beautiful," T-ara's first full-length Japanese album "Jewelry Box" and Girls' Generation's new single "Paparazzi" have all reached the gold status after selling more than a whopping number of 100,000 albums.

The success of the aforementioned releases does not come as a great surprise, as the three groups have posted impressing records on Oricon's music charts several times.

Oricon's website showed that 2PM's "Beautiful," entered at No. 2 on the website's daily and weekly singles charts as soon as it became available online on June 6.

Meanwhile, T-ara's "Jewelry Box" debuted at second both on Oricon's daily and weekly album chart right after its release on June 7.

The RIAJ report also said that Girls' Generation's first full-length Japanese album, "GIRLS' GENERATION," is one of the top-selling K-pop records of 2011 in Japan and the artists have also became the first foreign girl group in Oricon's history to top the weekly chart with a first full-length album.

2PM, T-ara and Girls' Generation are handful of artists that are receiving overwhelming popularity in both Korea and Japan. All three teams have experiences of performing at sold-out concerts and holding meet-and-greets in Japan.
