Jaurim [Soundholic]

Korean rock band Jaurim have officially joined the lineup of one of the biggest music festivals in Japan, according to PMC Network's press release Monday.

PMC, the hosts of Summer Sonic, said Jaurim will rock out at the Rainbow Stage during the festival, at the QVC Marine Field in Tokyo on August 18.

"We feel Jaurim has been invited to the fest because their pop and rock music style match well with the music trend in Japan," a PMC rep was quoted as saying.

Some of the other artists that will share the stage with Jaurim that day are Jun Sky Walker(s), Ska Ska Club, Iceage, Hyro Da Hero, Nothing's Carved in Stone, Man With a Mission, Knock Out Monkey and Yohio.

Prior to the group's performance in Japan, Jaurim will stage their show at the SUPER!SONIC festival, the Korean label of Summer Sonic, at the Olympic Park in Seoul from August 14 to 15.

Into its 12th edition, Japan's Summer Sonic has been acknowledged as one of Asia's representative annual music festivals. K-pop artists Big Bang, Girls' Generation and BoA have previously graced the stage during past events.

This year's festivities will also present various live performances on other dates, by Green Day, Rihanna, New Order, Jamiroquai, Tears for Fears, Foster the People, The Vaccines, Pitbull, Franz Ferdinand, Hoobastank and Gym Class Heroes.
