K-pop girl group KARA is opening a showcase soon to fire up their long-awaited local comeback later this month.
The "STEP" singers will hold a comeback showcase to celebrate their fifth mini-album¡¯s release at the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill hotel¡¯s Gayageum Hall in Seoul on August 22, according to DSP Media Monday.
The special event, at which the girls will put on the first live performances of their new songs from the forthcoming album, will be available for streaming online on YouTube, the world¡¯s biggest online video distribution website.
The officials noted that the five idols are brainstorming together to figure out how to best entertain their fans who have been waiting for their stars to return to the spotlight for over a year.
KARA--composed of Gu Hara, Han Seung-yeon, Park Gyu-lee, Kang Ji-young and Nicole--is one of the most successful Korean girl groups in the Japanese music market.
The girls will soon fly into the United States for a large-scale K-pop concert titled "2012 K-POP SUPER CONCERT IN AMERICA," to be held in Los Angeles' Home Deport Center on August 10. Other big name K-Pop stars, such as Girl¡¯s Generation, 2PM, 2AM, CNBLUE and MBLAQ, will share the stage with KARA.
