KBS' series "Bridal Mask" has maintained its stance atop the Wednesday and Thursday primetime lineup without a hitch, scoring its fourth consecutive week.

“Bridal Mask” was named the most-watched primetime series with an average rating of 22.3 percent during its episodes aired on August 22 and 23, according to data polled by TNmS (Total National Media Statistics) Friday.

Starring actor Joo Won and actress Jin Se-yeon, the action series has managed to capture the viewers with its storyline of a masked Korean hero that fights against Japanese imperialism.

Showing promise on the Wednesday and Thursday lineup, MBC's "Tale of Arang" (tentative title) came in second place after drawing in an average ratings of 16.1 of the audience during the same time frame.

"Arang," starring Lee Joon-gi and Shin Min-ah, portrays the romance between a female ghost named Arang [played by Shin] and a district magistrate [played by Lee] during the Joseon Dynasty period.

Seeing another 2.0 percentage point climb from last week, “Arang” proved to be a worthy contestant on the Wednesday and Thursday primetime lineup, since its premiere on August 15.

Meanwhile, SBS' "For You in Full Blossoms," which garnered much attention with its cast of f(x)'s Sulli and SHINee's Minho before its run, sat in last place by earning an average rating of 5.4 percent this week.

Over on AGB Nielsen Research Media's chart, KBS’ “Bridal Mask” continued its reign on top by attracting an average of 20.1 percent of total viewers, MBC’s “Tale of Arang” and SBS’ “For You in Full Blossoms” followed sequentially, recording an average rating of 13.8 and 5.3 percent, respectively, during the fourth week of August.
