Korean rock band CNBLUE proved to be an unstoppable force in Japan's music scene, earning the top spot on the prestigious Oricon weekly chart with their latest release.
According to Oricon's weekly data during the first week of September, CNBLUE's first full-length Japanese album "CODE NAME BLUE" recorded high record sales by selling over 44,000 copies since going on sale on August 29.
This makes CNBLUE the third Korean artists to have their first full-length Japanese album rank in first place on Oricon's weekly chart, following suit of FNC Entertainment labelmates FTIsland's "Five Treasure Island" and solo artist Jang Keun-suk's "Just Crazy."
"CODE NAME BLUE" lists a total of 13 songs with nine of them written by CNBLUE's leader and guitarist Jung Yong-hwa.
His musical talent will be shown through the nine tracks including "Intro 02," "Time is over," "Have a good night," "Wake up" and "Mr. KIA.¡±
Meanwhile, second guitarist and vocalist Lee Jong-hyun produced "These days" and "Get Away" and the two idols produced "No More" and "Come on" together, while it includes their previously released song "In My Head" and "Where you are."
Additionally, the four-member band will also set off on their arena tour with a total of nine shows in six cities throughout Japan in early October.
