Korean rock band CNBLUE has spoken up about their plans on entering the military on an episode of singer Baek Ji-young's cable TV talk show.
On last night's episode tvN's "Baek Ji-young's People Inside," CNBLUE members--Jung Yong-hwa, Lee Jong-hyun, Lee Jung-shin and Kang Min-hyuk--expressed their thoughts on entering the military for their two-year service which is required of all Korean men.
"We found out that there is an option where we can enlist together as a band. And if it is possible, we hope to enter the military altogether," the members, who are all in their early twenties, said to Baek.
"The reason why we thought of that is because it is hard for us to perform if one of us is not there since we are a band. And if we fulfill our duties together, we can continue on with our music activities and hold concerts once we are discharged."
Composed of Jung Yong-hwa, Lee Jung-shin, Kang Min-hyuk and Lee Jong-hyun, CNBLUE made their debut as an Indie rock band in Japan before breaking into the K-pop scene with the first EP album "Bluetory" in 2010.
Since then the boys have released a slew of hit singles and albums, while expanding their careers into acting with roles on the small and big screen.
Right now, CNBLUE is focusing on their activities in Japan with their upcoming arena tour and their live concert in London on September 22.
