Following in the footsteps of his fellow bandmates, INFINITE’s Sung-kyu is making his way to the small screen by appearing in member Woohyun’s ongoing sitcom.

Sung-kyu will make a cameo appearance on the fifth episode of MBC “One Thousand Man” this Friday, according to a press release from the broadcaster.

On the forthcoming episode, Sung-kyu will portray and passionate young man who is a friend of Woohyun.

His character not only devotes himself to his studies but works at a part-time job to pay for the college tuition.

“I was happy to act with Woohyun. Actor Woohyun looked so new and awesome. Watching him made me want to throw my hat into the ring for acting in TV series," Sung-kyu was quoted as saying.

Sung-kyu, the leader of seven-member K-pop group INFINITE, has been expanding his career into actina by starring in musical “Gwanghwamun Love Song" in February.

Meanwhile, “One Thousand Man,” starring actor Lee Cheon-hee, actresses Kang Ye-won and T-ara's Hyomin, hit the airwaves on August 17.

The fantasy sitcom revolves around nine-tailed fox Mi-jin [played by Kang] seeking to find the 1,000th man she loves to steal a liver that will help her turn into a human.
