G-Dragon has grabbed his first win after returning with "ONE OF A KIND" on Mnet's weekly music show.
Though he was not in attendance, the 25-year-old musician was crowned the winner of the week by holding off popular girl groups on last evening's "M!CountDown" held live in Seoul.
On behalf of the Big Bang member, hip-hop duo Mighty Mouth's member Sangchu received the trophy from the show's emcee Lee Hong-ki.
"CRAYON" is the title tune of G-Dragon's new solo effort in three years after "Heartbreaker," and the music video for the tune has gone viral with his imitation of different characters like pinocchio and a crazy doctor.
Sitting behind the solo artist is Secret, who made their comeback to the local music scene with "POISON" on "M!CountDown" earlier this month.
Orange Caramel, the trio unit of female K-pop group After School, also showed strong performance on the show with "Lipstick" by sitting at No. 3.
Except the "ONE OF A KIND SINGER" it surely was the battle of girl groups, as T-ara and KARA followed next in order and rounded out the top 6.
Idol stars who graced the stage that evening include KARA, U-Kiss, T-ara, ZE:A, SPICA, B.A.P, Baek A-yeon, BTOB and TASTY.
