K-pop boy band 2PM member Chansung is weighing on taking a role in Joo Won’s upcoming MBC drama.

A JYP Entertainment official told the magazine Wednesday that the singer is eyeing his role in “The War of Mystery Couple” [translated title], which will likely hit the airwaves next January.

The officials added that the show's production company Apple Tree Pictures has suggested the rookie actor to play the role of a secret agent.

Penned by acclaimed scenarist Chun Sung-il of “The Slave Hunters” (KBS, 2010), the drama will portray romance of undercover agents who work at the National Intelligence Service.

Joo Won, the "Bridal Mask” actor and “2 Days 1 Night” regular, has already confirmed to play a young secret agent named Gilro.

Chansung, the youngest member of 2PM, made his small screen debut in “High Kick” (MBC, 2006-2007) and expanded his acting career into Japan with his role in the action drama "Kaito Royale" (TBS, 2011).
