¡°A Werewolf Boy¡± Stays Powerful atop Local Box Office for 3 Consecutive Weeks

Korean heartthrob Song Joong-ki¡¯s melodramatic fantasy ¡°A Werewolf Boy¡± has topped weekend local box office for the third straight week.

Helmed by promising film director Jo Sung-hee, ¡°A Werewolf Boy¡± was chosen as the most-watched movie with 901,842 tickets during the weekend of November 16 to 18, according to data reported by the Korean Film Council [KOFIC] Monday.

The 125-minute movie, portraying romantic relationship between a werewolf boy and a girl, has already attracted overall 5,093,692 moviegoers within 17 days of its release on October 31.

With a marginal gap with the topper, ¡°The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2¡± debuted at the second place on the weekend box office after scoring 880,700 tickets sales.

Based on a series of best-selling young adult books by Stephenie Meyer, the ¡°Twilight¡± vampire saga¡¯s last chapter has been internationally gaining profitable outcomes with an overwhelming support from teenage fans.

Actor Park Si-hoo¡¯s thriller ¡°Confession of Murder¡± and JYJ member Kim Jae-joong¡¯s screening debut ¡°Jackal Is Coming¡± landed at the No. 3 and No. 4 spot with 416,119 and 109,017 tickets, respectively.

Lee Byung-hun¡¯s historical film ¡°Masquerade¡± rounded off the top five by attracting 98,383 moviegoers during the same time frame.

Other notable movies in the top ten include latest Bond series ¡°SKYFALL,¡± American thriller ¡°Sinister,¡± SF fantasy ¡°Upside Down,¡± Japanese animation ¡°Jungle Emperor Leo¡± and American animated movie ¡°Brave.¡±
