Award-winning rapper Ludacris will meet with top Korean talenthouse YG Entertainment in Korea this month.

An official with YG told 10Asia over the phone on Friday that Ludacris will be in the country on September 19 while they are still discussing on further details for his visit.

Ludacris was in Korea just last month as well to promote his line of headphones called 'Soul by Ludacris' where he had expressed his thoughts about YG Entertainment and their music.

"The reason for K-Pop¡¯s rising global popularity may be because of the singers¡¯ outgoing appearances and performances, but what¡¯s more important is the music they produce. In that regard, I feel YG¡¯s hip hop music is the best. YG¡¯s crossover hip hop genre has more than enough competitive edge for the worldwide market. If the opportunity comes, I¡¯d definitely like to exchange music with them,¡± he had stated.

Born Christopher Brian Bridges, Ludacris is an American rapper and actor. He has sold over 1.7 million albums in the United States and 2.4 million worldwide. Ludacris has won a Screen Actors Guild, Critic's Choice, MTV, and several Grammy Awards during his career.

He is well-known for his hit songs "Get Back," "My Chick," "How Low" and was featured on teen sensation Justin Bieber's tune "Baby."

YG Entertainment was founded in 1996 by Yang Hyun-suk, a former member of popular Korean group Seo Tai-ji & Boys.

The company currently manages some of the biggest names in the Korean music industry including Big Bang, 2NE1 and Se7en. They also manage the careers of Korean actors Kang Hye-jung, Ku Hye-sun and Yoo In-na.

YG Entertainment recently signed with major Japanese record label AVEX to create YGEX, which was established to manage the activities of YG artists in Japan.
