Director Na Hong-jin appointed as juror for Mumbai Film Festival

Korean director Na Hong-jin has been appointed as a juror for the upcoming Mumbai Film Festival to be held next week, according to its official website on Wednesday.
Na will serve as one of the jury members for the international competition section of the 13th annual Mumbai Film Festival to be held in Mumbai for eight days starting October 13 alongside Academy Award nominee director Hugh Hudson, director Roger Spottiswoode and acclaimed Polish auteur Jerzy Skolimowski.
Na's feature "The Murderer (The Yellow Sea)" will also be screened at the film fest while he will meet and greet as well as take part in special talk sessions with the audience.
Ahead of the Mumbai Film Festival, "The Murderer (The Yellow Sea)" will compete against other international pictures at the 44th annual SITGES International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia which will take place from October 6 to 16.
Na Hong-jin is also the mastermind behind smash hit Korean film "The Chaser," his debut pic which won him the award for best director at the Grand Bell Awards in 2008.
"Murderer," his second feature released last year, a story of a deadly chase between three men played by top Korean actors Ha Jung-woo, Kim Yoon-seok and Cho Seong-ha.
It has opened in select theaters in the United States, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and several countries in Europe.
