JYJ [C-JeS Entertainment] |
Korean singing trio JYJ have lined up the dates and countries for their upcoming South America tour, according to their agency C-JeS Entertainment on Wednesday.
A press release from C-JeS said that the boys are slated to perform at the Teatro Caupolican in Santiago, Chile on March 9 and at the Explanada Sur in Lima, Peru two days later.
A number of famed artists have taken to the stage of the Teatro Caupolican such as Ko¬Án and X-Japan while Britney Spears, the Black Eyed Peas and Avril Lavigne have performed at the Explanada Sur.
"We are keeping our promise to our fans in South America by holding our concert there since many of them have flown to North America to see us during our world tour last year," the members of JYJ were quoted as saying.
Last year, the trio had performed in Europe with shows in Spain and Germany which attracted several thousand fans to each performance.
JYJ, composed of members Park Yuchun, Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu, were formerly of quintet TVXQ, K-pop's most popular and successful boy band in the Asia region.
They broke off from the group however and started a separate singing career in October 2010 for which they have continued to promote themselves back home and overseas.
Recently, the boys released their first Korean-language album "In Heaven" featuring their title tracks "In Heaven" and "Get Out" which fared well on various online music charts.
