The eighth Jecheon International Music and Film Festival kicked off its seven-day run with musical “Moby Dick” in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea on august 9, 2012.

With 100 movies and 50 musicians invited from Korea and abroad, Asia's the first and the only international music theme film fest was celebrated by big names from the cinema scene who attended the opening ceremony opened next to Lake Cheongpung.

Actress Lee Yoon-ji, the host of the event this year, welcomed renown directors including music director Cho Sung-woo, director Hur Jin-ho and Dutch director Claire Pijman.

Other guest stars who strutted the red carpet are promotional ambassadors Kim Dong-wook and Kang Yea-won, who have been actively promoting the annual ceremony long before the fest.

Actress and director Ku Hye-sun, "Coffee Prince" actress Yoon Eun-hye, actors Choi Woo-shik, "Unbowed" actor Ahn Sung-ki, "Gentleman's Dignity" actor Kim Woo-bin all appeared on the carpet to watch the grand opening with the musical.
