A romantic comedy starring Korean-American actor Daniel Henney will soon be making its way to local audiences.
An official with his agency, Apple of the Eye, told the magazine Friday that Henney's film "Shanghai Calling" is aiming to open in local theaters this fall.
"The film has been received favorably overseas especially in China when it opened last month, and we are currently in discussions on the exact premiere date for Korea's release," the rep explained.
"Shanghai Calling," helmed by director Daniel Hsia, tells the story of a New York attorney (Henney) getting involved in serious legal issues in Shanghai, where he has been sent for a business trip.
His career hanging by the thread due to the events, he gets the help of a relocation specialist to escape from the conundrum and falls in love with Amanda (Eliza Coupe).
Also starring Bill Paxton, "Shanghai Calling" was chosen as the closing film at the 2012 Newport Beach Film Festival, while Henney was honored with the Outstanding Achievement Award for the pic at the film fest.
