Hyuna¡¯s ¡°Ice Cream¡± Melts Down Gaon Chart

K-pop female artist Hyuna has put on her first crown with the new electric dance tune ¡°Ice Cream¡± on Gaon Chart.

The 21-year-old singer, who has become one of the hottest YouTube stars from PSY¡¯s famed music video ¡°Gangnam Style,¡± stood atop the Gaon Singles chart with her new title track listed in the second mini-album ¡°MELTING¡± in the fourth week of October, the chart showed on Thursday.

The young K-pop queen has been garnering much attention from oversea mass media such as America¡¯s Billboard.com and England¡¯s the Guardian with her characteristic looks and dance skill in the tune¡¯s video that is already near 20 million views as of November 1.

Sitting at No. 2 is a remake of Kim Kwang-seok's "Becoming Dust" by Roy Kim and Jung Joon-young, two of the most popular contestants on Mnet¡¯s singing competition show ¡°Superstar K.¡±

Though they slipped down a slot from last week's top status, the project duo are still making strong impressions with the program manias who are flooding the boys' Twitter accounts with supportive comments.

K-pop soloist K.will ranked at No. 3 with the third album¡¯s title tune ¡°Please Don¡¯t,¡± which delicately depicts the procedure of a couple¡¯s farewell with folk guitar sounds.

While rookie songstress Ailee grabbed the fourth place with ¡°I Will Show You,¡± her diva-styled title tune off the first mini-album, girl group miss A rounded out the top five with their independence declaration ¡°I Don¡¯t Need Man.¡±

Other most-listened tunes in the fourth week of October were Epik High¡¯s ¡°UP,¡± ¡°It¡¯s Cold¡± and ¡°Don¡¯t Hate Me,¡± all three from their seventh full-track effort ¡°99,¡± Byul¡¯s sweet love song ¡°So Cute,¡± Gain¡¯s hit tune ¡°Bloom¡± and wanna-be superstar Roy Kim¡¯s another remake song ¡°Whistle.¡±

Over on the album chart, K-pop sensation TVXQ! reclaimed the trophy with their sixth full-length album ¡°Catch Me,¡± after world star PSY had took it away for one week.

Veteran hip-hop group Epik High enjoyed their comeback by sitting at No. 2 with "99," while boy band B.A.P landed at No. 3 with their new three-track album ¡°Stop It.¡±
