Takaaki Hattori has been Deputy Commissioner for International Affairs of Financial Services Agency of Japan since July 2015. His responsibilities include dialogues on financial consumer protection issues including the FinCoNet.
He has contributed for consumer protection issues over a long period. Prior to assuming his current role, he was Deputy Director-General of Consumer Agency. His responsibilities were law for consumer protection, consumer education and regional cooperation. He also worked for general affairs of Consumer Agency.
Not only the consumer protection area, he has multiple backgrounds. He was Professor in the field of Economics at Toyama University from 2006 to 2009. He worked at Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications from 2001 to 2003. He also worked at Ministry of Finance from 1996 to 1998.
He joined Economic Planning Agency in 1985. He obtained bachelor of Economics (BEc) at the University of Okayama in 1985.

  • Ning Zhu is a Deputy Dean and Professor of Finance at the Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF), Shanghai JiaoTong University, and a Special Term Professor of Finance at University of California and at GuangHua School of Management at Beijing University.
    He is also a faculty fellow at the Yale University International Center for Finance and Dean¡¯s Scholar in Finance at University of California. Prior to coming back to Asia and founding SAIF, he was a tenured professor of finance at University of California. Professor Zhu is an internationally recognized expert in behavioral finance, Chinese economic and financial reform, investments, and corporate finance. He has published numerous articles in leading journals in the finance, economics, management and legal fields and won various awards for his research and teaching excellence.
    He commands extensive consulting experiences advising international organizations, such as the World Bank and IMF; central banks, market regulators, and securities exchanges around the globe; and some of the largest institutional money managers and investment banks in the world. He also sits on many corporate boards and advisory boards of academic, policy, and practitioner institutions.
    During his leave from the University of California, he implemented his research into practice and leads the quantitative strategies and portfolio advisory teams at Lehman Brothers and Nomura International in Hong Kong, which was top ranked by leading institutional surveys. He sits on the board of several leading financial companies in China.
    Professor Zhu is widely regarded as a leading expert on Chinese economics and finance by the media. He has been regularly interviewed by leading TV programs, in both Chinese and English, and featured as event keynote speakers. He contributes regularly to columns at the China Daily, Financial Times (Chinese), and Sina Finance, the largest Chinese online financial website.
    Professor Zhu is the author of the Chinese best sellers ¡°The Investors¡¯ Enemy¡± on behavioral finance and ¡°China¡¯s Guaranteed Bubble¡±, a new book on the implicit guarantees in Chinese financial reform and stability. Both books are being translated into several other languages.
    Professor Zhu receives his B. Econ. Degree from Beijing University, Master of Science degree from Cornell University (NY), and Ph.D. degree (finance) from Yale University (CT).

Deok-Ryong Yoon is a senior research fellow at KIEP (Korea Institute for International Economic Policy). He worked as a member of steering committee of KIC (Korea Investment corporation), Korea¡¯s sovereign fund. He was a member of National Economic Advisory Council for the President. He served also as a Senior Advisor to Minister of Finance and as a head of evaluation team for public companies at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance. He served as a member of advisory committee of Ministry of foreign Affairs and Trade and Ministry of Unification. He continues to serve as a member of experts groups or advisory committees in diverse ministries and presidential offices in Korea. He was a visiting professor at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University and at the Graduate School of East Asian Studies, Berlin Free University. He was also an invited professor at the Institute for Korean Unification Studies at Yonsei University. He received his B.A., M.A. and Ph. D. in economics from Kiel University in Germany. He was an executive director of PECC Korea and director general of APEC Education Foundation. Kwangwoo Park is Professor of Finance and Director of Sustainable Finance Research Center at KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) in Seoul, Korea. He received his PhD in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has Bachelor¡¯s degree in Business from Yonsei University in Seoul. Prior to joining KAIST, Dr. Park has taught at Chung-Ang University in Seoul. Dr. Park also taught at the University of Missouri-Columbia where he got a PhD in economics. His current areas of research interest include financial intermediation and international corporate governance. He has been publishing a number of articles in major finance and economics journals including the Journal of Finance, the Review of Financial Studies and the Journal of Banking and Finance among others. Dr. Park currently serves as the editor of the Asian Review of Financial Research and on the editorial board of the Asia Pacific Journal of Financial Studies which is the first journal listed in the Social Science Citation Index in the region. Dr. Park was also a research fellow for many leading institutions such as the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the Bank of Korea (the central bank), and Korea Corporate Governance Service, and has been serving as a member of the advisory committees for the Korea Fair Trade Commission, Financial Service Commission, and the Office of the Prime Minister in Korea.

Dr. Gilyoung, Song proudly calls himself a ¡®Mind Miner¡¯. He has been rigorously working on reading and interpreting the thoughts of people buried in social big data, a huge repository of stories and memories of people¡¯s everyday lives. Thriving on the insights accumulated from his work, Gilyoung is contributing on improving various aspects of activities in both public and commercial sectors.
Gilyoung currently works as a senior executive vice president of Daumsoft, Inc. In the past, he served as chief strategy officer and, together with his colleagues, pioneered the technologies and business opportunities for gathering and analyzing billions of social media posts to read the minds of people that the posts convey. Daumsoft now plays a unique role in Korea specializing in natural language processing, text mining, and social big data mining.
Gilyoung received his Ph.D in computer science from Korea University, and serves as an executive board member of the Korea Business Intelligence Data Mining Society. He also teaches students at Ewha Womans University as an adjunct professor of business management. Gilyoung co-established and leads the Opinion Mining Working Group, a non-profit professional organization for data mining industry in Korea.
Gilyoung is a fanatic reader who reads all kinds of materials in diverse subjects and styles. He also enjoys talking to people with different backgrounds and ideas. He authored "We See Your Desire: a Map of 7-biliion Desires Found in Big Data (2012, Sam & Parkers, translated in Chinese)¡± and ¡°Don¡¯t Imagine : a Method of reading untold desires(2015, Bookstone)¡±.

Jungwook Lim is the managing director of Startup Alliance Korea, a non-profit organization founded in 2013 to foster Korean startup ecosystem by connecting entrepreneurs, startups, tech companies, and the government. Jungwook spent time working in Silicon Valley and Boston where he was the head of global business for Daum and the CEO of Lycos.
After several years of experience in high tech entrepreneurial environment, he moved to Seoul and established the Startup Alliance to share his knowledge and experience to help local startups in global settings. Although his skillset is vast, his greatest expertise is in IT technology and business perspectives in Silicon Valley and Japan. He also has an extensive social capital in IT industry in Silicon Valley, Japan and Korea.
Before his career as internet executive, he was a newspaper journalist in Korea. We worked at Chosun Ilbo, Korea¡¯s largest newspaper for almost 10 years. While there, he covered Korea¡¯s IT industry as a business writer. He also worked as director of Chosun.com, an online newspaper arm of Chosun Ilbo, managed online newsroom. He also established and became the CEO of the Chosun Ilbo JNS which operated Japanese online edition of the newspaper.
He is also well known blogger and influential Twitterer in Korea who has over 180k Twitter followers. He co-authored the book, 'iPad revolution'(2010) and translated 'Inside Apple'(2012) into Korean version. His columns frequently appear in various newspapers and magazines in Korea.
Jungwook holds an MBA degree from the Walter A. Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, and earned a B.A. in Business Administration from the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.
